Phoenix | 3/4 Inch Whitewall | 185R14

Our Phoenix 185R14 passenger car radial tires are designed for classic luxury cars, such as Mercedes Benz, Rolls Royce and more. This classic 3/4-inch whitewall tyre is an excellent replacement radial for Mercedes Heckflosse models. The high aspect ratio (80 series) gives them a taller profile, and the German style tread design is authentic for 1960s and '70s cars.

The Phoenix whitewalls tires are DOT and ECE approved. Also available as Blackwall tires.

Genuine Narrow Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine narrow whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. When we reference "narrow whitewall" tires, we typically mean a whitewall that measures less than two inches, but it can also mean a whitewall that does not reach all the way into the bead. Narrow whitewall tires are popular for many cars built in 1960's all the way through the 1990's.

Radial Tire Construction

Radial tires were first introduced by Michelin in the 1950's, and by the mid 1970's, all American cars came from the factory with radial tires. Radial tire construction means that the tire's ply layers are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the bead. This allows the tire to flex and glide over bumps and breaks in the road. Radial tires provide a smoother ride and longer tread life than bias ply tires. We offer wide whitewall radial tires, as well as narrow whitewalls, redlines, gold lines and high performance radial tires.
