Coker Tire Company's award-winning Bias Look Radial American Classic tire is made in the USA and thoroughly tested to ensure superb quality for your collector vehicle. You can trust that American Classic Wide Whitewall Radial tires are ready for the road, but they're also ready for the show field with beautiful styling and a whitewall that is built in to the tire from day one. The genuine whitewall construction, along with the "pie crust" shoulder and vintage-style tread pattern give this tire the original look, while the steel belted radial internals make it the perfect choice for a car that will see plenty of miles. This is a tubeless 670R15 radial tire, but keep in mind that tubes are required on some OEM and reproduction wire wheels.

Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, but now Coker Tire offers them in original style bias ply and modern radial construction.

Bias Look Radial Tire

The term "bias look radial" is something that Coker Tire created when we introduced the American Classic bias look radial product line. This means the tire has the appearance and the sizing profiles of a vintage bias ply tire, with modern radial construction. This provides an original look with a smooth ride and longer tread life, compared to bias ply tires. We offer bias look radial tires for vehicles ranging from the 1920's through the 1970's.

American Classic Tires for Collector Cars

Our line of American Classic radial tires includes P-metric radials (such as 235/75R15) and our famous "bias look radial" (such as 670R15). We offer American Classic radial tires in wide whitewall, narrow whitewall, and black sidewall in select sizes, developed specifically for 1940's, 1950's and 1960's classic cars. These tires feature a classic tread design and a beautiful sidewall that's built into the tire from day one of production.

Please Note

  • Bias Look Radial tires feature genuine radial tire construction with bias ply tire size, profile and styling. These tires are built in brand new molds using modern materials and tooling. Typically the sizing is the same as their Bias Ply equivalents with the addition of 'R' in the size value. Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.

Question:
I drive a 1959 corvette with the original stock rims, I want to switch from tube to tubeless and purchase the American Classic Radial, 670/15. Are my rims tubleless compatable?
By Richard on February 05, 2019
Answer:

Yes, a 1959 Corvette is fine to run tires tubeless as long as the wheels wold a good seal. You may mount the 670R15 radials without tubes and there should be no issue. Just please note that these will not likely fit in the spare tire compartment as they are a slightly larger diameter than original. This will not affect anything beyond the spare tire well. A 560R15 could be used as a spare if needed.
