What was the size tire that came on a 1956 2 door hardtop oldsmobile 88 and the width of the white wall?
By Your Name (optional) on March 21, 2016

The 1956 Olds 88 was originally equipped with a 760-15 bias ply tire size as an option and this 2 1/2 inch whitewall is most appropriate for the model year: 760-15 BFG.

I have a 1955 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe. I know the original tire was a 760-15 bias ply. Could you please what white wall width would be appropriate for my car ? Thank you
By Frank on March 08, 2019

Excellent question. Years 1954-1956 typically saw between a 2 1/2" whitewall and a 2 11/16" whitewall width.

Does this year match or exceed this speed and weight rating 96R.

Hi there, Most of our bias belted tires do not come with a speed rating to them - this tire being no exception to that statement. The ones in question can handle about 1710 lbs of weight at 32 PSI. Thank you for your question,
