In 2010, a few fanatical antique motorcyclists made news riding their old bikes across the country in the Motorcycle Cannonball. We were lucky to have them stop overnight in Chattanooga after leaving Maggie Valley on their epic journey. Maybe they were lucky to stop here too, since as soon as the hospitality dinner was complete, one hundred classic iron horses rolled into our restoration shop for service at the SAME TIME. It really was a sight to behold. Those crazy Cannonballers are at it again and this time around Coker Tire Company is sponsoring one of the riders. Buzz Kanter is riding a 1929 Harley JDH on thew 2012 Motorcycle Cannonball from New York City to San Francisco starting September 7 and running through September 23, 2012. As if that epic distance on a '29 model bike wasn't enough to worry about, Buzz is battling a torn achilles that looks to be healed just in the nick of time for the event! Follow Buzz Kanter on Classic American Iron blog as he finishes the bike (and his ankle) for the Cannonball. Buzz Kanter is riding a 1929 Harley JDH on thew 2012 Motorcycle Cannonball
