Day 6 Photo Highlights from the 2018 Great Race
We knew it was coming...RAIN. We started off the race with some showers, but today was an all out downpour all day. The steady rainfall was brutal on the racers and staff, and it certainly hindered the spectator experience. We started the day in Bangor, Maine, then rallied all around before going to the Seal Cove Auto Museum for lunch. The rain was pouring as we rolled the cars to their stopping points, but we had a nice, dry seat inside the museum for a wonderful hosted lunch. From there, we went all around the island, eventually making our way to Acadia National Park for a tour of Cadillac Mountain and scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean...well, what we could see of it due to the fog and rain. Either way, it was beautiful, and it led us to our evening stop in Bar Harbor, Maine. This tourist town would've been one of the most epic stops on the race, but the weather just didn't cooperate. The extreme wind and rain was bad enough but there was potential for storms during the peak times of our finish line ceremony. Take a look at our photo highlights, and let's hope for some better weather tomorrow!
