We're chugging along on the 2021 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty Drivers Club. Today, we covered a lot of ground, covering Oklahoma and entering into Missouri. The route was filled with 50 mile per hour runs that extended for many miles, through various terrains and weather conditions. The day started warm and humid, and then turned cool when a line of heavy rain came through. After a soggy lunch stop in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, we spent most of our afternoon on Historic Route 66 on our way to a giant evening stop in Joplin, Missouri. Thousands of folks came out to see the Great Race and we certainly enjoyed the royal treatment. Tomorrow, we make our way across Missouri, with stops in Rolla and Cape Girardeau.
