We often get opportunities to see great automobiles, but anytime a Packard pulls into the parking lot, we take notice. This one in particular caught our attention because it has a set of our tires and wheels on it! George Hubbert is the proud owner and drove it up from Duluth, Georgia to have a couple of new tires installed on the car. While he was here in Chattanooga, we took the opportunity to take pictures of his car and he even let us take it for a spin around the block. The stylish Packard runs and drives like a new car, thanks to lots of updates to the chassis and suspension. It's also powered by a smooth-running small block Chevy, so it's super dependable and ready to hit the highway. It even has cruise control! Flawless white paint covers the large steel body panels, and houndstooth mohair upholstery finishes off the classic look. Our favorite part about George's Packard is the tires and wheels, of course! The big Packard rolls on a set of BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall radial tires, sized at 225/70R15, and wrapped around a set of Packard wire wheels. The tires feature a 2-3/4-inch whitewall, and an all-season tread pattern, so they hit the road great. The beautiful chrome-plated wire wheels also came from Coker Tire, (manufactured by Roadster Wire Wheel) and feature 52 stainless steel spokes, laced into an all steel rim and Packard-specific hub. It's truly a great combination and gives this luxurious ride even more style.[products]
