Rockin' & Rollin' -- Day 4 of the 2017 Great Race
We're getting close to the halfway point of the 2017 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty. It's no wonder that the Great Race is the world's premier vintage car rally...every town rolls out the red carpet for us, and makes us feel so special when we roll through. And even though we're only there for a short time, we make new friends and meet so many new people at every stop. Today, our route sent us into Indiana for an excellent lunch stop in French Lick, where town was full of spectators, and classic cars. From there, the route took an unexpected turn, due to road construction in the area, so our afternoon ride was quite relaxing! The evening stop in Franklin, Indiana was mind-blowing. This small town has a HUGE courthouse, which is surrounded by historic buildings and historic houses. We just couldn't get enough of Franklin, as it had all the right scenery, and thousands of people to cheer us on as we finished our day. The Team Coker Tire entry of Gary and Jean Ann Martin had a couple of issues today, but it didn't hurt them in the overall standings. They are currently 6th in the running, and they're hoping for a big upswing in the next couple of days. Cheer them on and let's see if Gary and Jean Ann can put that bright blue Chevy II in the winner's circle!
