Sacramento to Reno--Day 2 of the 2016 Great Race
We're back on the road with the Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty. Today's route sent us from Sacramento, California to Gardnerville, Nevada for an awesome lunch and local car show. We spotted a bunch of great cars in the show that were rolling on Coker Tire products, including a beautiful 1932 Ford station wagon (woody) owned by loyal customer, Michael King. The racers entered and exited Gardnerville on the same stretch of road, which hugged up against a beautiful mountain range, complete with snow on top. Our route from lunch to dinner was tricky, but offered even more awesome scenery as it led to Reno, Nevada for our evening stop. The National Automobile Museum hosted the stop, and welcomed us into its breath-taking facility! Every make imaginable is represented in the collection, and you can bet a LOT of them were rolling on Coker's! Speaking of which, the daily winner for Stage 2 is rolling on Coker's...it's David Reeder and Sawyer Stone's awesome 1916 Hudson. Good job guys! Check out some of our highlights, and be sure to keep an eye on www.greatrace.com for even more cool photos and updates!
