Coker Tire Visits the Southeast Moparty Picnic

You won't find a more dedicated group of car guys (and gals) than the Mopar crowd. A good friend, Ken Meredith is one of those guys, and his whole family is fired up about Mopars. That's what led them to create the Southeast Moparty Picnic, an event for Mopar nuts, by Mopar nuts. Unfortunately, the Meredith family suffered two huge losses in the months leading up to the event--first was Rick Meredith in January, and then Kenneth (Ken's father) in April. Despite the tough times, the rest of the Meredith clan and a bunch of friends pulled together to make the event happen. The result? A HUGE gathering of Mopars, from early '60s classics to modern muscle cars and everything in between. We saw Hemi after Hemi, and a whole lineup of drag cars that would make any Mopar guy drool. Local collector, Kayo Erwin brought out a few of his outstanding vintage drag cars, while other Mopar guys put their prized possessions on display as well. We spotted a bunch of rare muscle cars, and even had the chance to photograph a couple of them for use in future advertisements, catalogs and other marketing efforts. The coolest part of the event was seeing SOOOOO many awesome Mopars using Coker Tire products. We saw Mopars with BF Goodrich Radial Redline tires, Firestone Wide Oval tires, BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires and more. Check out our favorite photos from the Southeast Moparty Picnic! It looked like it was straight out of the '80s with a blown and injected Hemi, custom stripes, and of course huge Pro Trac tires from Coker.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_7519" align="alignleft" width="780"] Rick Meredith's Road Runner was on display, paying tribute to his life as a Mopar guy. It rolls on BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires and Mopar Standard steel wheels.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_7517" align="alignleft" width="780"] The Moparty Picnic had a HUGE turnout of Mopar drag cars, including this Barracuda, which rolls on a set of our Phoenix Race Tires.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_7520" align="alignleft" width="780"] Hey check out that banner! Loving the look of mis-matched Rocket wheels and steelies with M&H Racemaster drag radials on the back of this Plymouth Belvedere.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_7523" align="alignleft" width="780"] It's not often you see a set of Motor Wheel Spyder wheels, but they look right at home on this Road Runner. Great car, great color, and of course, great tires![/caption] [caption id="attachment_7522" align="alignleft" width="780"] Four doors, no hubcaps and skinny whitewall tires makes you think this Plymouth is the typical grandma sedan. That is not the case, as this sleeper is Hemi powered![/caption] [caption id="attachment_7527" align="alignleft" width="780"] Muscle car guys like rare stuff, and this one is about as rare as it gets. For starters, Dodge only made 317 Coronet convertibles with the R/T package. If you narrow it down further (engine, paint, interior color, etc.) this is one of one! We'd say this one would make those BF Goodrich Radial T/A's create a glorious cloud of smoke.[/caption]
