13 inch BFGoodrich Bias Ply Whitewall Tires

Classic or original 13 inch whitewall tires can be extremely tough to source. Corvair owners know this all too well, but don't get your air-cooled engine in a bunch just yet. Coker Tire Company is right there, with several authentic BF Goodrich 13-inch tires for classics. These 2-inch to 2.25- inch thick white wall tires offer just the right amount of classic style to your car. They feature authentic tread and sidewall designs and genuine whitewall construction. The upper sidewall has a very fine pie crust styling that looks fantastic. BF Goodrich Bias Ply 13 inch wide whitewall tires are an outstanding option to give your car period-correct looks. It's proven that a clean, original look increases your automobile's value at the auction block! Why roll around on plain modern radials, when you can easily add tons of classic sixties style with a set of authentic bias ply tires from Coker Tire Company?

Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, but now Coker Tire offers them in original style bias ply and modern radial construction.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
