BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial | 3/8 inch Pin White | 225/60R16

Coker Tire Company offers classic style and modern performance with 225/60R16 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires. These tires are perfect for classic car restorations, thanks to a tall sidewall and a stylish, all season tread design. BFGoodrich Silvertown Radials are also great for street rods and customs, with a wide range of sizing options. All BFGoodrich Silvertown Radials are true whitewall radials, meaning that the whitewall is built into the tire from day one.

These 225/60R16 BFGoodrich Whitewall tires are proudly Made in the USA and backed by Coker Tire Company's Life of the Tread warranty. DOT and ECE (European Community) approved. Find the right combination for your ride, and hit the road with the style and comfort that only a whitewall radial tire can provide!

Pinstripe Whitewall

As wide whitewalls were phased out, the width of the whitewalls continued to shrink until it got down to 3/8-inch. These very narrow whitewalls are often called pinstripe whitewalls or pin whites. By the late 1960's, pinstripe whitewalls became common options on cars like the Corvette, and continued to be popular on full sizes classics, like Lincoln Continental and Cadillacs. The full size cars also saw variations of pinstripe whitewalls, which included dual whitewalls, and a combination of narrow and wide whitewalls.

Radial Tire Construction

Radial tires were first introduced by Michelin in the 1950's, and by the mid 1970's, all American cars came from the factory with radial tires. Radial tire construction means that the tire's ply layers are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the bead. This allows the tire to flex and glide over bumps and breaks in the road. Radial tires provide a smoother ride and longer tread life than bias ply tires. We offer wide whitewall radial tires, as well as narrow whitewalls, redlines, gold lines and high performance radial tires.

Please Note

  • Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.
