Firestone Wide Oval Radial | RWL | FR60-15

This Firestone Wide Oval radial tire features classic raised white letters and FR60-15 sizing. This is the authentic size for 1970 through 1972 Camaro Z28, 1971 and 1972 Chevelle Super Sport, 1970 through 1972 Ford Mustang GT, Mach 1 and Boss. It also fits 1971 through 1973 Pontiac, as well as Plymouth Barracuda (Hemi cars), and 1970 and 1971 Shelby Mustangs. A bold "Wide Oval" logo on the sidewall instantly takes you back to the sixties when big engines and four speeds ruled the streets. Muscle cars are getting big money at auctions and the buyers love a restored-to-stock or Day Two muscle car more than ever. Firestone Wide Oval tires are made in the new molds in the USA with modern materials and technology and are backed by our exclusive Life of the Tread warranty. This product bridges the gap between authentic bias ply tires and modern radials. These tires are DOT approved, and S speed rated. That means they are ready for the open road! Its time to put a set of Firestone Wide Oval radials on your muscle car.

Raised White Letter

This is a raised white letter tire, sometimes called RWL for short. Raised white letter tires became common in the late 1960's on muscle cars like the Pontiac GTO and high performance pony cars, like the Ford Mustang. Raised white letter tires feature white rubber that is built into the tire's sidewall when the carcass is being assembled. The letters are formed when the tire is vulcanized in a curing mold, and then buffed clean to reveal bright white letters. Popular raised white letter tires include BFGoodrich Radial T/A, Firestone Wide Oval and Goodyear Polyglas tires.

Bias Look Radial Tire

The term "bias look radial" is something that Coker Tire created when we introduced the American Classic bias look radial product line. This means the tire has the appearance and the sizing profiles of a vintage bias ply tire, with modern radial construction. This provides an original look with a smooth ride and longer tread life, compared to bias ply tires. We offer bias look radial tires for vehicles ranging from the 1920's through the 1970's.

Firestone Tires for Collector Vehicles

Coker Tire is proud to offer authentic Firestone tires for a wide range of cars, trucks and motorcycles built from the 1900's through the 1970's. We offer Firestone Non Skid tires, Firestone Deluxe Champion tires, Firestone Wide Oval tires and many more famous styles and sizes to fit military vehicles, motorcycles and classic commercial trucks. With whitewalls, redlines, raised white letters and other classic sidewall styles, this product line is one of our most extensive and popular brands.

Please Note

  • Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.
