Firestone Wide Oval | Redline

Firestone Wide Ovals | Wide Oval

The Firestone Wide Oval with 3/8" redline is an iconic tire for muscle cars. This legendary tire line features authentic sidewall markings and tread design. The genuine redline construction is built just like they did in sixties with premium rubber compounds. Also available with your choice of raised white letters or 3/8" whitewall, Firestone Wide Oval tires are made in the original molds in the USA with modern materials and technology. Original equipment for many muscle and pony cars from 1967-74, Firestone Wide Ovals are backed by our exclusive life of the tread warranty. Please note that dimensions listed tread width, section width and overall diameter are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted on a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure.

Is the Firestone wideoval redline tire bias ply the correct original equipment tire for a 1969 Plymouth GTX? If not, what is the correct tire?
By Jeff Brott on June 25, 2018

Yes, this would have been an available tire for the GTX in 1969! That car could have come with different brands depending on the dealer and production agreements at the time.
