Goodyear Deluxe All-Weather 3.5 inch Whitewall |  600-16

The Goodyear Deluxe All-Weather 600-16 bias ply tire is an excellent choice for a Pre-WWII restored car or truck and features a 3 1/2 inch wide whitewall (3.5 inches). The 600-16 size became the industry standard from 1935 through the late 1940's, and this tire features the famous diamond tread pattern with Goodyear lettering in the whitewall. This iconic tire is perfect for a Ford or Chevrolet passenger car, and also works well on light trucks from the era. This tire is also an authentic choice for hot rods and customs. This tire features four-ply construction with polyester cords, and it is designed to be used with a tube.

Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, but now Coker Tire offers them in original style bias ply and modern radial construction.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
