Coker Classic | 4.4375 Inch Whitewall | H78-15

Coker Classic H78-15 bias ply wide whitewall tires are an excellent upgrade for a car that originally had 760-15 tires. This includes many American classic cars from the 1950s and 1960s, like Buick, Oldsmobile and many more. The H78 tires also work well on hot rods and custom cars, as the 4 7/16 inch whitewall provides the timeless old school look. This is one of the widest whitewall tires that we offer! Coker wide white wall tires feature genuine whitewall construction and authentic deluxe tread designs. These Coker Classic bias ply wide whitewalls are made in the USA. DOT and ECE (European Union) approved, and backed by our life of the tread warranty.

Genuine Wide Whitewall Tire

This product features a genuine wide whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Wide whitewall tires were a very popular choice from the 1930's through the end of the 1950's, and were eventually phased out of mainstream production by 1962. Originally, wide whitewall tires featured a bias ply construction, but now Coker Tire offers them in original style bias ply and modern radial construction.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.

Coker Classic Brand Collector Vehicle Tires

Coker Tire was founded in 1958 and many years of our history has been focused on supplying the collector vehicle market with authentic tires. Coker Classic is our house brand, which is a favorite among car restorers and enthusiasts around the world. We were the first to develop the wide whitewall radial, and it's still one of our most popular product lines to this day. Coker Classic tires are offered in both bias ply and radial construction, using modern materials to ensure proper fitment and handling for your collector vehicle.

Please Note

  • Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.
