Firestone Wide Oval Radial | Redline | GR70-14

This Firestone Wide Oval Radial tire features GR70-14 sizing and a 3/8-inch redline for the ultimate early muscle car look. This product bridges the gap between authentic bias ply tires and modern radials. Designed and manufactured in the USA, using new molds and materials, this tire features authentic sidewall markings and tread pattern, with radial construction. This is the ultimate muscle car tire! Firestone Wide Oval Radial redline tires offer fitments of most muscle car applications for cars that originally came with G70-14 tires. This is the authentic size for 1970 Buick Skylark, 1968 through 1970 Chevelle, 1971 through 1974 Dodge Charger, 1970 through 1974 Torino. It also offers fitment on 1968 through 1973 Pontiac Tempest and GTO. This is also a nice upsize option for a car that originally came with 775-14 bias ply tires. The tires feature a 3/8-inch redline with all of the correct markings on the sidewall. These tires are DOT approved, and S speed rated. That means they are ready for the open road! Its time to put a set of Firestone Wide Oval radials on your muscle car.

Genuine Redline Tire

This product features a genuine redline sidewall style, sometimes known as a red stripe, due to the thin 3/8-inch strip rubber. This means that the red rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Redline tires hit the American automobile market in 1964 with the introduction of the Pontiac GTO and remained a popular muscle car tire until around 1970. Dual redline tires (two red stripes) were an option on Ford Mustangs, and are now reproduced in original bias ply construction as well as radial construction.

Bias Look Radial Tire

The term "bias look radial" is something that Coker Tire created when we introduced the American Classic bias look radial product line. This means the tire has the appearance and the sizing profiles of a vintage bias ply tire, with modern radial construction. This provides an original look with a smooth ride and longer tread life, compared to bias ply tires. We offer bias look radial tires for vehicles ranging from the 1920's through the 1970's.

Firestone Tires for Collector Vehicles

Coker Tire is proud to offer authentic Firestone tires for a wide range of cars, trucks and motorcycles built from the 1900's through the 1970's. We offer Firestone Non Skid tires, Firestone Deluxe Champion tires, Firestone Wide Oval tires and many more famous styles and sizes to fit military vehicles, motorcycles and classic commercial trucks. With whitewalls, redlines, raised white letters and other classic sidewall styles, this product line is one of our most extensive and popular brands.

Please Note

  • Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.
