The muscle car era started many trends in the American automotive market, and the Redline tire is one of the very biggest. This modern version of red line tires is perfect for your muscle car resto-mod, or even a late model performance car. An asymmetrical tread pattern offers great dry and wet traction, while an H speed rating provides reliable performance for many applications. The 3/8-inch raised redline is built into the tire from day one, so it is sure to resist fading or cracking. American Classic Redline 215/60R15 Radial tires are made in the U.S.A. and are DOT and ECE (European Community) approved.

Genuine Redline Tire

This product features a genuine redline sidewall style, sometimes known as a red stripe, due to the thin 3/8-inch strip rubber. This means that the red rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. Redline tires hit the American automobile market in 1964 with the introduction of the Pontiac GTO and remained a popular muscle car tire until around 1970. Dual redline tires (two red stripes) were an option on Ford Mustangs, and are now reproduced in original bias ply construction as well as radial construction.

H Speed Rating

H Speed Rated: Up to 130 mph (210 km/h). Often required OE for higher performance trim level classic automobiles.

American Classic Tires for Collector Cars

Our line of American Classic radial tires includes P-metric radials (such as 235/75R15) and our famous "bias look radial" (such as 670R15). We offer American Classic radial tires in wide whitewall, narrow whitewall, and black sidewall in select sizes, developed specifically for 1940's, 1950's and 1960's classic cars. These tires feature a classic tread design and a beautiful sidewall that's built into the tire from day one of production.

Please Note

  • Tire mounted on wheel for demonstration purposes only. Wheel and other accessories are not included. Please note that dimensions listed (tread width, section width and overall diameter) are non-scientific and based on an inflated tire, mounted to a wheel. Dimensions may vary due to rim width and inflation pressure. Please note Chemical Guys Tire and Rubber Cleaner and Adams Polish Tire shine has been linked to Whitewall browning and should not be used. We recommend using our line of tire care products.

Question:
can this tire be mounted on an 8 inch rim?
By joe on May 19, 2018
Answer:

The recommended rim width is 5.50" to 7.50" wide. Mounting on a rim that is wider than recommended may cause less than ideal tread ware, and in some extreme cases a tire to dismount.
