Question:
Firestone 2 1/2 Inch Whitewall | 550-16 is the bias ply tire I will be ordering. This is the only tube (500R16/700R16 Radial Tube | TR15 Offset Rubber Stem) I see covering this tire size. Is the traditional Bias ply tube supersceded by the radial tube? The 16 rim is steel with a offset stem and currently has same tire as mentioned.
By Steve on June 18, 2016
Answer:

Yes, all tubes are radial-rated now as they are heavier-duty and work well in both bias ply and radial tires.

Question:
Hi. What size tire does a 6.50 - 16 convert to in now a day sizes including tube size. Thank you in advance.
By Richard on April 06, 2016
Answer:

In radial sizing, it simply converts to 650R16, the "R" denoting radial. There is an approximate conversion to 225/70R16 according to charts, but the overall look of the modern, P-metric tire is not at all the same. This is the correct tube for that tire size either way.
