Question:
I just purchased a 560-15 from you to use as the spare for my 1967 VW bug. My bug has 165R15 tires on it now. Will the 560-15 tire fit the165R15 rim? Thank you.
By Denton Baker on October 01, 2018
Answer:

Yes, a 560-15 will fit the same rim. In fact, 560-15 was the original equipment size in 1967. It is a bias ply tire, however, so keep that in mind. It is generally not advised to mix bias ply and radials (your 165R15s are radials), so if you end up having to use the spare be very careful. Bias tire handle differently than radials and when mixed can cause the car to be difficult to control.
