These classic blackwall BF Goodrich 600-15 bias ply tires feature authentic tread design and nice sidewall details. 600-15 is an uncommon size, but offers direct fitment for many makes and models. These direct fitments include 1958 Wolseley, 1960 Volvo PV445 Duett, as well as select 1970's Volkswagens (Super Beetle, Karmann Ghia and more). This is a tubeless tire. These tires are hand-built in the USA using the original molds and traditional bias ply construction. The rubber compounds are modern and the quality is excellent. The BFGoodrich Silvertown product line feature fantastic period-correct styling and are available in many sizes for 10- to 16-inch fitments.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.
