Goodyear Eagle GT OWL | 255/60R15

The Goodyear Eagle GT Radial tire features extra wide 255/60R15 sizing, which is a great fit for 1970's and 1980's cars. They look great on Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs and more. The outlined white letters are authentic for the era, and the classic GT Radial tread pattern is pure 1980's perfection.

Outlined White Letter

Outlined White Letter tires, sometimes referred to as OWL for short, came about during the 1970's and continues to be popular on some off-road tires. This style of sidewall lettering was a variation of the popular raised white letters tires, but instead of solid white lettering, only the outline of the lettering features white rubber. 

Radial Tire Construction

Radial tires were first introduced by Michelin in the 1950's, and by the mid 1970's, all American cars came from the factory with radial tires. Radial tire construction means that the tire's ply layers are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the bead. This allows the tire to flex and glide over bumps and breaks in the road. Radial tires provide a smoother ride and longer tread life than bias ply tires. We offer wide whitewall radial tires, as well as narrow whitewalls, redlines, gold lines and high performance radial tires.
