Barrett-Jackson 2024 Auction Highlights
When the new year rolls along, our show schedule is getting its final additions, but one event always sets the tone for the rest of our busy season. The Barrett-Jackson collector car auction is an event that brings thousands of cars and many more people into Scottsdale, Arizona for a week of amazing cars and trucks. The auction includes everything from driver-quality restorations to seven-figure masterpieces, and everything in between. We set up as a vendor and our team enjoys being able to watch the cars in the staging lanes each day. It's an outstanding view of the auto entusiast market, and the event never fails to result in great sales and future contacts. This year, we spotted so many great vehicles with our products, so we're bringing you the highlights below...enjoy!
Early Corvettes are the epitome of "classic cars" with the beautiful body lines. This example is rolling on our American Classic bias look radial whitewall tires, a perfect replacement for original bias ply tires. This 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 is looking just right, thanks to 15x8-inch Magnum 500 wheels, wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval F60-15 raised white letter tires. Although we're known for our wide whitewall tires, we have a huge selection of blackwall radial tires for classic sports cars. This Porsche rolls on a set of our speed-rated Michelin tires. Muscle cars are the stars of the Barrett-Jackson auction, but this low slung hot rod got our attention. We're loving the tall and skinny tire and wheel combo, including our Excelsior Stahl Sport radials. It doesn't get much better than a giant Cadillac convertible, especially when it's rolling on wire wheels and whitewall tires. Corvettes are extremely popular at Barrett-Jackson and this 1967 Corvette roadster has all the right stuff: big block, Kelsey Hayes wheels and of course, a set of our redline tires. This chopped and channeled hot rod truck is bad to the bone! Black steelies and black Firestones finish it off nicely. Whether you want stylish wide whitewalls or utilitarian blackwall tires, we have the most authentic tires on the market! The Barrett-Jackson auction focuses mostly on cars and trucks, but we spotted this immaculate Indian motorcycle, which sports a pair of our all-white button tread tires. Custom cars are always fun to study, because the body modifications are often creative and numerous. This example, which appears to have started as a 1949-1952 Chevrolet has a wild look, and rocks a set of our BFGoodrich wide whitewall radial tires. 1970 Chevelle Super Sport is one of the top muscle cars, and this one is a fine example. We love the two-year-only Super Sport wheels (1969 and 1970) and the Firestone Wide Oval raised white letter tires. This is a wild one! It's a George Barris custom called "Banacek", and it features a chopped top and many other body modifications. Our favorite part? Of course, it's the Cragar S/S wheels and Firestone Wide Oval raised white letter tires. If F70-14's aren't meaty enough for you, check out this awesome tire and wheel combo! It features our 15x10-inch Magnum 500 wheels, wrapped in 295/50R15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A's. This 1964 Corvette Sting Ray coupe is simple and clean, sporting its stock hubcaps and whitewall bias ply tires. A timeless combo for America's Sports Car! 1958 was a year of intense changes across the big three auto makers in Detroit. The Chevrolet Impala debuted in this transition year, and this is a beautiful example, sporting classic wide whitewall tires for the perfect period correct look. It doesn't get much better than this! Beautiful Borrani wire wheels and authentic Michelin radials underneath a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider Scaglietti conversion. Firestone Deluxe Champion bias ply tires are the PERFECT choice for a traditional hot rod. The crowds filed in each day to see watch the action on the auction block. More than $207 million in sales made the 2024 Scottsdale auction a record breaker.
