HUGE Crowds at the 2021 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival
When it comes to high end automotive events, there are staples in the industry--Pebble Beach and Amelia Island come to mind. While those events have become a long-standing tradition, the newest addition to this style of event is the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival. This event came about in 2019 and set the bar pretty high, with amazing cars, automotive celebrities and wonderful fellowship. After cancelling the 2020 event due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival staff had plenty of time to plan for a mind-blowing 2021 event.
Without question, the staff pulled off a tremendous amount of work, in order to make this event happen. The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival featured many activities throughout the duration of the three-day event, held on October 15-17, 2021. Friday morning kicked off with multiple activities, including exclusive car club parking downtown, a road rally, road course racing on the brand new two-mile course and the Mecum Auctions event. Chattanooga was buzzing with excitement as the event kicked off, and continued to thrive throughout the weekend. We were thrilled to be a part of the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, by hosting the "Legendary Charity Cruise In" on Saturday morning. This cruise in offered exclusive parking within close range of the racing course and offered a great walkway from the spectator gate to the crossover bridge into the paddock area. We brought out two of our tractor trailer rigs, and invited several of our customers to come park in our huge booth area. It was quite a day, especially when you consider the PACKED house at the Mecum Auctions event. So many great things to see and do!
The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival culminated on Sunday with the Concours d'Elegance. It was a beautiful selection of automotive excellence, ranging from the "Gathering of the Greats" Ferrari display to incredible concept cars and so much more. There was even a section for hot rods, and nearly all of the hot rod entries were rolling on Coker Tire products. By the time it was said and done, the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival truly left an impact on our hometown. Thousands of folks experienced the event firsthand, and will likely go home and tell all their buddies about it. This event will continue to grow, and we're already anticipating the 2022 event.
