The NSRA Street Rod Nationals has been rolling for more than 50 years, thanks to the hard work and dedication from the National Street Rod Association staff, and the thousands of folks who attend the event each year. It's held at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, which has a GIANT vendor building, and room for more than 10,000 cars on the property. Other activities include a swap meet, a nitro-burning cacklefest, a Builder's Showcase, and much more. Vehicles 1993 and older are eligible to participate, but it's mostly 1980 and older with a heavy emphasis on hot rods, street rods and customs. Over the past few years, more and more muscle cars have been taking part in the event, and of course, classic trucks are playing a big role in the event as well. We set up in the vendor building to sell tires and wheels, and we had lots of folks through the booth all weekend long. The four-day event is packed with action, and we're bringing you some of our favorite Coker-equipped cars and trucks at the 2023 NSRA Street Rod Nationals.
We loved the looks of this 1967 Pontiac Tempest, which is powered by its original overhead cam inline six-cylinder engine. Dan Sebben upgraded to a set of BFGoodrich Redline radials and American Racing wheels for a cool look. Jerry Campbell's 1932 Ford roadster has the textbook hot rod look. It rolls on traditional Firestone bias ply tires.This radical Model A sedan is as low as you can get, and features a tall and skinny set of Firestone whitewalls, wrapped around wire wheels.When it comes to '80s style street machines, it doesn't get much better than this 1970 Chevelle, which features vintage Weld Wheels and Pro Trac tires.Although it isn't exactly a street rod, this 1950 Packard Station Sedan got a lot of attention at the Nationals. American Classic bias look radial whitewalls are the perfect fit.This 427 Impala was an absolute show stopped and features a set of our Firestone Wide Oval radial redline tires.Check out this crazy clean 1972 Chevrolet Malibu, which sports Orange Flame paint and a flawless set of Cragar S/S wheels and BFG Radial T/A tires.
